Areas of Excellence
The Areas of Excellence (AoE) scheme was launched by the University Grants Committee (UGC) in 1998 with a view to sharpening the competitive edges of Hong Kong and to retaining the city’s leading economic position in the rapid development of China and the Pacific Rim.
